what makes this special...

There is no stone unturned in the quest for luxury here. The living spaces are generous with all the mod cons you could need and the bedrooms feel like you are ensconced in boutique hotel for your stay.

If you want to eat out there are plenty of excellent options. We love The Pig in Brockenhurst (pictured). Also Limewood and it’s spa, are superb. There are masses of good pubs too.

The forest and coast are on your doorstep here. Avon Beach, 10 mins away, is sandy and particularly lovely.

Milford on Sea is a must visit for walks by the sea side, fish and chips eaten on the beach and maybe a cheeky glass of vino at the infamous  “Cave”.  Alternatively, get out and visit Chewton Glen for the ultimate in luxury with spa treatments, an afternoon tea or a cookout session @ the Kitchen with James Martin. Limewood (food pictured) is also close and excellent.

We had a wonderful time staying with friends at The Coach House for a long weekend. It's really decorated beautifully and has a very homely feel. Love the big sitting room with the log fire and comfy seating, and the kitchen is spacious too, lots of room for all of us round the table for meals and well equipped. We had mixed weather so enjoyed lazing in the garden and exploring Lymington market and the beach at Milford on the glorious sunny Saturday, and braved the wind and rain on the following day with hired bicycles to head across the forest to the excellent White Buck in Burley - definitely an experience! Recommend The Pig at Brockenhurst too for a special meal out. Thank you for a really lovely weekend. We'll certainly look to use New Forest Escapes again in the future.

The Coach House

Heathfield House Estate, Lyndhurst Rd, Bransgore, Christchurch BH23 8LA, United Kingdom

the location...

Lymington is often in The Times ‘Top 10 places to live in the UK’.  Obviously we are totally biased and agree. It is marvellous. The quality of life here is very good. The town is surrounded by National Park to the north, coastal otherwise. There is a good mix of industry (boats) and retail. Less obvious is the connection to the rural workings of the National Park itself.

The community here is very diverse in it’s interests and the town really does make sure that everyone is catered to…it is always busy with something going on from the Saturday market to St Barbe Museum, with multiple play parks and of course cafe and restaurants galore. And if you manage to get through all that, then you could always jump on the ferry to the Isle of Wight – just a short 30 minute journey across the Solent.
