Cancellation Policy

In the current situation (13 March 2020) the COV-19 virus is causing significant challenges to travel plans.

We’ll do our best to help you out and be clear with you at all stages to help you understand what’s going on.

We have both Agency, and Owner Terms and Conditions.

Our Agency Terms and Conditions say:

Changes and Cancellations by you

Any cancellation or amendment request must be sent to us in writing, by email or post, and will take effect on the day we receive it. Proof of posting is not proof of receipt; therefore you are advised to also confirm all changes to us by telephone and email. Please ensure that you have received written confirmation of any changes to your booking prior to travel. Whilst we will try to assist, we cannot guarantee that such requests will be met.

If you are cancelling your stay before the balance payment is due (at 8 weeks) then we will return the deposit back to you, less our cancellation charge of £55. If you are cancelling within 8 weeks of your stay, or after you have paid your final balance, you may lose your final payment.

Sometimes the owner will accept your request to move the booking to another date. Bookings are transferable to another group so long as they are acceptable to the owner. Please call us about this and give us 7 days notice.

Amendments and cancellations can only be accepted in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Supplier/Owner of your arrangements.

The Supplier/Owner may charge the cancellation or amendment charges shown in their booking conditions. The Supplier/Owner’s cancellation or amendment charges may be as much as 100% of the cost of the arrangements, it is also likely that the Supplier/Owner’s cancellation or amendment charges will normally increase closer to the date of departure.

In addition you must pay us an administration fee of £55 per cancellation for any amendments to or cancellations of bookings.

If you have booked and paid through a 3rd party agent (Airbnb, HomeAway, Tripadvisor, i-escape) please refer to their own cancellation terms. You may be able to negotiate with them. They will then contact us and check the arrangements. We will then arrange to cancel, move, transfer etc your booking.

Our Supplier/Owner Terms and Conditions say: 

Changes and Cancellations by US/force Majeur

We will inform you as soon as reasonably possible if the Supplier/Owner needs to make a significant change to your confirmed arrangements or to cancel them. We will also liaise between you and the Supplier/Owner in relation to any alternative arrangements offered by the Supplier/Owner. We are not obliged to find you alternative accommodation if the Owner/Suppler fails to do that for you. We will have no further liability to you.

All booking fees paid to New Forest Escapes Limited are non-refundable.

Our Owner Terms and Conditions say:

If you or any other member of your party decides to cancel your confirmed booking you must notify us in writing. Your notice of cancellation will only take effect when it is received in writing by us at our offices and will be effective from the date on which we receive it. We recommend that you use e-mail or recorded delivery.

Since we incur costs in cancelling your arrangements, you may have to pay the applicable cancellation charges up to the maximum shown below.

The cancellation charge set out in the table below is based on the total cost payable by the person(s) cancelling, this charge excludes any amendment charges which have been paid and which are not refundable in the event of the person to whom they apply cancelling:

Deposit refunded less cancellation fee of £55 the original non-refundable booking fee, and commissions payable to New Forest Escapes Limited of up to 10% of the total sums charged for the booking.

0% of the balance is refunded.

Where a booking is cancelled, or services booked for that booking are not required, then we will refund those to you in full: security deposit, laundry, logs, dogs, extra cleans etc.

    Please make sure you read the Owner’s booking conditions before placing your booking.

    In addition to any cancellation fee to the Owner, you must pay  an administration fee of £55 per cancellation for any amendments to or cancellations of bookings.
