We cycled courtesy of Cycleexperience, Brockenhurst.
Since we send so many guests to cycle from Brockenhurst, we thought we’d write a little about it for you so that you can plan. 01590 462 009
We planned an summer afternoon cycle trip to XX bridge. Here there are two lovely rope swings over the cool clean water of the upper reaches of the Lymington River. It was a very warm day. A balmy 29C with little wind so we wanted to head to the water and take a paddle.
Cyclexperience are based in the pretty village of Brockenhurst. The bike hire centre is at the back of the train station car park. Extremely handy if you’re arriving by rail…
If not, the parking is cheap. £3 for an off peak ticket 10am onwards.
The building is new and fantastically well designed for people on a mission to get bikes and get going.
We booked our bikes online which was super easy. But you don’t need to. I got confused about what was needed for my daughter (7) and I called up the office. They were lovely, explained everything and sorted us out.
We turned up, parked (if you have the Ringo App it might be quicker, Brock train station isn’t known for it’s super tech use of parking meters) and got our bikes in about 10 minutes.
The lads downstairs were super helpful in getting our seats adjusted, giving us repair kit and locks and an excellent map. After a quick whizz around the station car park, some final adjustments, we were on our way.
